We have driven over 102,000 km of public roads in New Zealand collecting a large range of road attributes including; correct road names, turn restrictions (one way streets as well as no left turn, no right turn etc), speed zones, paving, angles of corners (to assist in travel time calculation when the speed limit is faster than realistic driving speeds), type and angles of intersections, lane guidance and much more. Our public road dataset has been independently audited by a number of companies including: TomTom, MetroView, Navman, Laser, Siemens VDO (Europe and Australasia) as well as leading car brands such as BMW, Ford and Honda.

We are the sole provider of New Zealand mapping data to the leading car navigation brands in New Zealand such as TomTom for integrated in-dash, portable navigation systems (PND) and Mobile.

All brands of car navigation products using GeoSmart Maps also have access to our wide range of Points of Interest data (everything from public toilets to tourist attractions).

Real Time Traffic

AA Traffic is the real time traffic service which alerts you to incidents and congestion that may stop you from getting to your destination on time. Since late 2011 we also provide the real time traffic data to support TomTom's HD Traffic throughout Australia.

We highly recommend that you consider a device with live traffic such as the TomTom HD Traffic service which GeoSmart provides our content for across all of New Zealand and Australia where there is cellular 3G coverage and updates every 2 minutes to your device.
