Telemarketer / Telesales Person

GeoSmart Maps is a subsidiary of the NZ Automobile Association and needs an experienced telemarketer to help grow our business in areas such as maps for web sites and other products related to location based technology.

You will be cold calling and qualifying web developers, PR and marketing companies, and companies that can benefit from location based solutions, to introduce the company and open doors for sales development. This involves research through web sites, newspapers and trade publications to find prospective clients.

Assisting in the development of presentation materials, organisation and preparation of seminars and exhibitions as well as support to the Business Development Manager will make the position varied and interesting.

The position, which reports to the Business Development Manager also involves contact with users of car navigation systems for support and logging of related information.

Lateral thinking, an outgoing personality with good verbal and written communication skills are required. You must enjoy cold calling and have the ability to think on your feet.

Also necessary are good skills with Microsoft Office solutions (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the Internet.
